Live to Tape Artists CHUCK LEPLEY Born and raised in Denver, Colorado Chuck began his passion of the 4/4 in a manner that isn't very common in our scene. After discovering house music while studying at the University of Colorado he messed around on the turntables a bit, but recognized production as a more efficient means of expression. He immediately picked up some equipment and began learning. His musical influences combined with his training in piano at a young age helped to ease production's learning curve and right away gained recognition by artists such as Steve Lawler. Upon becoming comfortable with the production side of things, Chuck took a step backwards and began DJing to push his sound. After graduating from Boulder, Chuck moved to Los Angeles where he now lives and works while continually growing and expanding his skills as both a DJ and a producer. Recently, Steve Lawler chose Chuck's song "Eyes" to feature on his Global Underground "Lights Out 3" CD. Look for a bright future from this rising star. << back to artists page
