Live to Tape Artists DJ ALI Ali started his DJ career 1993, when the Vancouver house scene was in its infancy. Growing up in Vancouver, Ali's influences come from the breakdance era, hip hop flavours and the afterhours scene at 86 Street. In 1996, Ali began producing house music, buying his own gear and starting Djing. From early on, Ali knew he wanted to produce his own tracks, inspiring other young DJs. Ali has been producing a hell of a lot lately. All this hard work has him nominated as the best producer of 2002. Look for other Ali releases on Village and Leaf Recordings.
